Moengo is a village in the east of Suriname. The present unemployment and poverty predict bad future perspectives. Together with the NGO STOOM, SIFE Delft is working on setting up an annual festival. Sports activities, culture, music and art will be the main items on the festival's program. This festival on short term will provide a strenghtened economy. At the same time it shows local people opportunities for entrepreneurship.
