SIFE Delft launches a new project: 'Community Bazaar'
August 31, 2009 Today, SIFE Delft launched a new project: 'Community Bazaar'. The aim of this project is to set up Community Bazaar in Yele, Sierra Leone. The bazaar will consist of a physical location where entrepreneurs can hire a location, power and possible needed equipment to run their business like for example power tools and a lighting solution. making the electricity available at one central place to stimulate industry and economic activity. The project is an initiative of three Delft University of Technology Students and will be executed in co-operation with the Lion Heart Foundation. See the project page for more information.
Ndassie Light project wins ABN-AMRO business game
August 17, 2009 On Friday the 10th of July SIFE Delft student and initiator of the Ndassie Light project Jean Seraphin Kepguep and TU Delft student Joel Ngouettey won the ABN AMRO business game. Jean and Joel pitched the Ndassie Light concept in a battle with 8 other finalists. The Ndassie business idea was commented by the judges as “sustainable and appealing”. Besides an official trophy the students received a € 5000 cheque and one year of free advise from ABN AMRO professionals.
